1994 Alden 50 Motor Yacht – Whirlaway
WHIRLAWAY is a classic three-stateroom flybridge motor yacht, designed by C. Raymond Hunt Associates. The interior finish is American cherry, crafted with New England craftsmanship. She is equipped with complete electronics at the upper and lower helm stations. The aft owner stateroom (queen), the forward cabin (V-berth), and the port cabin (pilot berths) provide berths for a crew of six. There are two heads, both with full shower stalls. The galley has an electric cooktop, a convection oven/microwave, and drawer refrigeration. The flybridge seats six comfortably in a settee, an L-shaped dinette, a helmsman seat, and a navigator seat. The main salon features a custom drop-leaf table for dining. The electrical power is provided by a 16 KW generator, solar panels mounted on the carbon fiber flybridge hardtop, and twin Victron Quattro 5000-watt inverters (a total of 10,000 watts). The Victron system manages the vessel’s power demands. The air-conditioning/heating system has three zones.
